A meeting of the Chhattisgarh State Road Safety Council is to be held on December 22 under the chairmanship of Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar.
The meeting has been organized in room number- S-0-12 of Mahanadi Bhavan located at Mantralaya Nava Raipur from 2:00 pm.
Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahariya, Parliamentary Secretary Shishupal Singh Sori, Parliamentary Secretary Chandradev Prasad Rai, and members of the committee will be present in the meeting.
The concerned departmental officers have been instructed to attend the meeting with the updated information.
In the meeting, various topics including a smooth traffic system in the state is to be discussed in detail.
Improvement of previously identified black spots, identification of new black spots, and progress of improvement work will be reviewed.
Apart from this, action on overloaded vehicles, meeting of the District Road Safety Committee, road safety and other measures to prevent accidents, arrangements for quick treatment of accident victims, etc. is also to be discussed.
Program for spreading awareness about road safety among students, action to establish a standard system for school bus operation, road safety review program by departmental nodal agencies, and various plans regarding road safety and traffic rules are to be discussed further in the meeting.
