Road construction in remote rural areas opened up a number of opportunities…

Continuous work is being done in Chhattisgarh on road construction, widening, and repair.

Under the direction of the Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel, road construction is ongoing in all districts to ensure the smooth mobility of the state’s people.

The construction of roads in remote rural areas has opened up opportunities for development as well as improved mobility.

The state government is working to ensure a smooth traffic flow by giving priority to road construction, road widening, reconstruction, and repair.

It has been approved to widen certain roads, construct new ones, and resurface some roads with asphalt.

The villagers and locals now have access to the traffic facility following the completion of the asphalting work on the roads.

The government has granted administrative sanctions for Rs 128 crore 18 lakh 91 thousand for the building and renovation of 64 roads of 193.49 kilometers in Rajnandgaon, Dongargaon, and Churia development blocks over the last four years. So far, 22.55 kilometers of road asphalting and 54.80 kilometers of road asphalting have been completed at a cost of Rs 30 crore 89 lakh 93 thousand.

In addition to this, for a total length of 19.77 kilometers of 99 roads, under the Mukhyamantri Sugam Sadak Yojana, approval has been given for the construction of access roads costing Rs 11 crore 55 lakh 20 thousand, of which 11.60 kilometers of road construction work have been completed at the cost of Rs 5 crore 68 lakhs 93 thousand.

While for the construction of 26 buildings the fund amount of Rs 19 crores 67 lakh 21 thousand was approved of which buildings have been constructed at a cost of Rs 6 crore 80 lakhs 20 thousand.

A total of Rs 2 crore 33 lakh 98 thousand has been spent on the building construction for Swami Atmanand English Medium School.
